Xi steers China-U.S. relations toward stability
BEIJING, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to travel to Washington for a state visit and a high-stakes meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.
With the upcoming visit, the two presidents are expected to complete reciprocal visits within months. The trip will be Xi's second state visit to the United States following his first in 2015.
More than a decade on, the world's most important bilateral relationship has followed a bumpy course. How Beijing and Washington manage ties -- and find room to work together -- is increasingly consequential for both countries and the world.
