Chinese community in Venezuela donates nearly 1,700 tonnes of quake relief supplies

CARACAS, June 29 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese community in Venezuela has donated nearly 1,700 tonnes of earthquake relief supplies as of 2 p.m. local time Monday, according to preliminary statistics.

The Federation of Chinese Associations in Venezuela and other Chinese community groups have organized donations from overseas Chinese in the country, providing assistance to tens of thousands of Venezuelan families affected by the disaster. ■
